Dreamers Coffee House

I found another cozy cafe in Chinatown called Dreamers. This a beautiful little spot is nestled on Henry Street and just a few steps away from my favourite dumpling spot - Jin Mei. I was craving an Americano with a bit of soy milk and it hit the spot on this cloudy spring day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how busy it was, and luckily wasn't in too much of a hurry! Definitely plan to come back here again when I'm in Chinatown!

Artbean Coffee

Artbean Coffee in Chinatown was a recent recommendation by a friend and I am officially obsessed!  Located on the colourful Doyer Street, this coffee shop serves delicious Asian inspired flavoured coffee drinks and also collaborates with artists to showcase their work in their cafe! I love that the founders support different artists through the rotating exhibit and their seasonal coffees are just on point! I couldn't resist the pandan latte made with pandan, coconut cream, oat milk and espresso. The featured artist during my visit was Gian Galang and I loved the "Chinatown Warriors" Exhibition.

Intelligentsia in Chicago

I was in Chicago again for a quick work trip and had a chance to pop into Intelligentsia one morning before taking a stroll through Millennium Park! Unfortunately the famous Bean was under construction, but I still enjoyed soaking up the sun while sipping on my Avena Latte. This was one of Intelligentsia's specialty Black Cat lattes with oat milk, spiced orange peel, ginger, vanilla and cinnamon and topped with a touch of cayenne! Good way to wake up and get the day started! 

Intelligentsia is a Chicago based cafe and roaster with a number of locations in a five different cities as well as one spot in Korea (and growing!). Not only do they sell delicious coffee, but they also have training labs and coffee bars all over. You can find their coffee at many restaurants and hotels or you can subscribe so you never run out at home!

Abracadabra Coffee

We spent the February long weekend skiing at Okemo in Vermont! We rented the cutest tiny home in a town called Chester and loved exploring the surrounding towns! Our favourite was Woodstock, where we enjoyed delicious coffee from Abracadabra! 

The coffee shop was spacious inside and I loved the heated patio outside too with fire pits! There was a supercool caravan inside where they served coffee and I was able to peak inside the roastery too in the back of their space! Of course I had to try their maple latte, and it did not disappoint! 

Foxtrot

I was in Chicago recently and had a chance to visit Foxtrot, a high end convenience store and coffee shop! Foxtrot has it all: coffee, wine, grab-and-go food, snacks and anything else you may need to stop at your local convenience store for! For locals, they can even request delivery and join their membership program. 

I really enjoyed the La Colombe drip coffee from their coffee shop and even grabbed their newly available "Early Train Espresso Blend" coffee to bring home. I've been brewing these beans in my (new) french press lately and they are the perfect balance between sweet and robust with notes of dark chocolate, toffee and apple. I definitely want to visit more locations in the future and try all of the coffee and goodies!

Grenada

We spent an incredible long weekend in Grenada - a beautiful island in the Caribbean. The people were warm and welcoming, the monkeys were mischievous (!), the food was delicious, the chocolate was indulgent, and the beaches showed off with rainbows!
