Atticus Tea and Coffee

We discovered the cutest café right on Main Street in Park City's Old Town called Atticus. As expected, it's themed after the famous novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. The coffee shop is super cozy and welcoming and is a family run spot that serves more than just coffee! They have a variety of tea, curated selection of gifts and books of course! I loved finding out that Atticus donates a portion of every sale to local, non-profits.

Atticus is the perfect spot to grab a pre-ski breakfast or for a post-ski coffee. I ordered a specialty coffee called The Finch which is a cubano-style latte. It's a double espresso pulled with raw sugar and topped with cinnamon. It was apres-ski perfection! Highly recommend this spot if you're planning on taking the Town Lift up the mountain at Park City!

Cupla Coffee

Hello from Utah! I'm so excited to finally be on vacation and to be taking a nice long ski trip here over the next week!

We discovered an amazing café called Cupla Coffee that's connected to our hotel. Cupla means twin in Irish Gaelic and was chosen as the name of this café because it was founded by twins of Irish descent! Cupla roasts their own coffee which is sourced from plantations all around the world. The coffee rotates based on availability, seasonality and supply. We both got drip coffee to start the day!

The menu reflects the personal lifestyles of the founders which mirror a low carb, low sugar diet and they bake their goods in house. I noticed a lot of delicious baked goods and pastries (which included gluten free, paleo, keto and vegan options!) but ultimately ordered a breakfast burrito to fuel my ski day.

In addition to the Park City spot, Cupla has another location in Salt Lake City. I loved how large the space was with plenty of seats, tables and comfy spots to hang out in! The ambiance was so welcoming and I could've stayed for a long time if we didn't have plans to hit the slopes!

I highly recommend this spot if you're in Park City and staying in the Newpark / Kimball Junction area!

Hala Coffee & Kitchen

Hala Coffee and Kitchen is my latest café discovery in Bushwick. I loved the welcoming vibe and ordered my coffee to stay for the first time in a while! There's nothing I love more than sipping a hot coffee out of a mug (not a to-go cup!) and reading a book!

The decor was nice and minimal with fun demask tiles and large modern wooden tables with plenty of high top seating. The light was streaming in from the large windows and it almost made me forget how cold it was outside!

Everything on the menu looked great. I decided to try the rosemary, clove and cranberry latte which was their winter special and it did not disappoint! The rosemary and clove syrup was a bit sweet but the tart cranberries helped balance out the flavours so it wasn't too overwhelming. In addition to the standard coffee drinks, Hala services tea, pastries and has a brunch menu. Next time I'm in Bushwick I'll make sure to stop in here for brunch too!

Lemony Olive Oil Cake

I baked this beautiful cake for our neighbours last weekend! I'm not sure what it ended up tasting like, but it sure smelled good! The recipe is originally from my friend but a similar one is linked here.
