Tianti

Tianti is a bookstore and café located in midtown. It’s a hidden oasis in a super busy and loud area of the city. I was so happy to walk in and take a little break to read a book and enjoy their house brewed coffee! The barista was probably one of the nicest I’ve ever had! It was refreshing after a weekend of terrible customer service.

Tianti sells meditation books in a number of different languages and even offer mediation classes! The space is large and the menu includes coffees, teas, smoothies, pastries and sandwiches. I snagged a spot at the gorgeous long wooden bar table and had the most relaxing lunch break with my coffee and good book! Great spot to just take a break from everything!

Pietro Nolita

Pietro Nolita is a cute, hole in the wall, Italian restaurant just north of Little Italy. The Yelp review are not super high and I think a lot of people seek this spot out for the instagram photos. Regardless, I loved the pink exterior and stopped in for a coffee to go. The space is small with limited seating. I ordered a vanilla bean latte to go and despite being a tiny but too sweet, it was the perfect afternoon pick me up. I’m not sure I’d try the food here based on the reviews I’ve read, but I am still glad I got to try the coffee here! If you’re like me and love all things pink you must stop by to try a coffee or a cocktail!
