Two Hands

I had brunch this past weeke weekend at a delicious spot in NoHo called Two Hands. They have a few different locations around the city including Nolita, Tribeca and Williamsburg. They also have a presence in Nashville and Austin.

Two Hands is a restaurant serving brunch as well as all day options such as sandwiches and salads. They also have a great cocktail and coffee list! Their menu varies by location but their most popular items can be found at most of their restaurants.

I loved my cappuccino and breakfast burrito but the best part was the company that! Highly recommend this cute spot for a Sunday brunch!

Kona Coffee & Company

I visited my old neighbourhood in Chelsea recently and caught up with my good friend J. She suggested that we check out a newly opened cafe in the area called Kona Coffee! Kona's coffee is grown in Hawaii but roasted here in NYC. They have locations in the East Village and Chelsea.

The owner was born and raised in O'ahu, Hawaii where his family started a restaurant. When he moved to NYC, he missed the easy-going and slow lifestyle of his hometown, and the coffee that he grew up drinking. He opened up this cafe in NYC with the goal to bring a piece of the Big Island over to the bustling city. Kona Coffee & Company was founded on the philosophy that a great cafe isn't just a place to enjoy high quality coffee, but a space where New Yorkers from all walks of life can connect and unwind from their busy lives with a cup of coffee.

The cafe is designed to bring a sense of peace and serenity when you step through the doors. The open space and chill vibes allow people the space to relax and catch up with friends, get cozy with a book, or catch up on some work.

I had the signature Hawaiian latte which was infused with coconut and macadamia nut. Pro tip: ask for it with half the amount of syrup so the sugar / flavours don't overwhelm the taste of the espresso! They also offer a few other signature drinks such as their Coconut Matcha and Oat Milk Draft and of course they serve classic coffee, espresso drinks non-coffee drinks and tea. The also serve sandwiches and pastries from local bakeries. My friend enjoyed her blueberry scone with her latte and we will definitely be back!

Black Fox

Black Fox is my newest coffee shop discovery! They have 4 locations throughout the city and I stumped upon the one in midtown, close to my office. Black Fox roasts their own coffee but also sells coffee from various roasters including Square Mile, Nomad, Drop Coffee and Coffee Collective. They also offer a subscription service which is a great gift option for a fellow coffee lover or just for yourself!

Black Fox services everything from coffee to pastries and even offers catering services for person or corporate events! I ordered a chai latte for a change and it was absolutely delicious! Given it's proximity to my office, I know I'll be back here and can't wait to try their drip coffee and espresso drinks too!

Yu and Me Books

Yu and Me Books is a coffee shop, bar and bookstore that focuses on immigrant stories. I loved spending some time at this cute spot in Chinatown. The book selection is awesome and I sipped on a delicious cappuccino made by the owner (I think) while I got lost in the stacks of new releases!

The bookstore was created to increase representation within the literary space, and you can read more about the owner's story here. It's truly the coziest space filled with colourful books, a few comfy couches and some high top seating. Overall, the small (but mighty space) has an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. It made me happy to see how busy it was inside the store as well!

Check out their events list here as well and spot by a book signing or poetry reading next time you're in the area!

Little Canal

Little Canal is the cutest cafe / coffee shop / bar on the border of Chinatown and the Lower East Side.  It had the cutest aesthetic but was packed with people when we stopped by, which I suppose is a great sign!

The menu looked pretty extensive with everything from pastries and cookies to brunch wraps and sandwiches. I loved my cappuccino and it gave me the perfect kick that I needed for my afternoon! If you decide to swing by for takeout, you can always order ahead on their website!

Park City Roasters

Park City Roasters in Kimball Junction was one of our favourite go-to spots for coffee! It was within walking distance from our hotel and we loved the drip coffee so much that we went back multiple times.

They're a small batch roaster that opened in 1997, that just also happened to be founded by twins! The coffee shop has a roastery in the back which means the freshest coffee every time you stop by! I loved that their different blends were creatively named after ski terms like the "black diamond" and the "park city" blend. They also offered pastries and specialty drinks too.

It was definitely a busy spot for locals which is always a good sign. I love seeing people stop by in their colourful snow gear before and after a day on the slopes!

La Niche

La Niche is one of the coziest and welcoming coffee shops we discovering during our trip! It felt like we were visiting an auntie or at grandma's house! This cozy spot was actually a gift shop / bool shop with a little kitchenette tucked into the back. They serve pastries, gelato and coffee and tea of course! We enjoyed our cappuccinos topped with cinnamon and had a great chat with our barista (possible the owner?). Everyone was so friendly and chatty and we really enjoyed the cozy vibe and caffeine boost!

Atticus Tea and Coffee

We discovered the cutest café right on Main Street in Park City's Old Town called Atticus. As expected, it's themed after the famous novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. The coffee shop is super cozy and welcoming and is a family run spot that serves more than just coffee! They have a variety of tea, curated selection of gifts and books of course! I loved finding out that Atticus donates a portion of every sale to local, non-profits.

Atticus is the perfect spot to grab a pre-ski breakfast or for a post-ski coffee. I ordered a specialty coffee called The Finch which is a cubano-style latte. It's a double espresso pulled with raw sugar and topped with cinnamon. It was apres-ski perfection! Highly recommend this spot if you're planning on taking the Town Lift up the mountain at Park City!

Cupla Coffee

Hello from Utah! I'm so excited to finally be on vacation and to be taking a nice long ski trip here over the next week!

We discovered an amazing café called Cupla Coffee that's connected to our hotel. Cupla means twin in Irish Gaelic and was chosen as the name of this café because it was founded by twins of Irish descent! Cupla roasts their own coffee which is sourced from plantations all around the world. The coffee rotates based on availability, seasonality and supply. We both got drip coffee to start the day!

The menu reflects the personal lifestyles of the founders which mirror a low carb, low sugar diet and they bake their goods in house. I noticed a lot of delicious baked goods and pastries (which included gluten free, paleo, keto and vegan options!) but ultimately ordered a breakfast burrito to fuel my ski day.

In addition to the Park City spot, Cupla has another location in Salt Lake City. I loved how large the space was with plenty of seats, tables and comfy spots to hang out in! The ambiance was so welcoming and I could've stayed for a long time if we didn't have plans to hit the slopes!

I highly recommend this spot if you're in Park City and staying in the Newpark / Kimball Junction area!
